CLS Graduate Students Participate in Toy Drive
CLS graduate students help wrap donated gifts as part of the OAR Annual Toy Drive.

The Criminology, Law and Society Student Association (CLSSA) helped collect toys for children of incarcerated parents as part of the Annual Toy Drive sponsored by Offender Aid and Restoration of Arlington (OAR).  The CLSSA placed a collection box in the CLS Department's main office in November and the toy donations piled up through December.  CLS graduate student volunteers wrapped donated gifts at OAR's gift-wrapping event on December 14 and helped deliver the gifts to families in the community.  CLS graduate student Catherine Kimbrell, who ran the event for the CLSSA, reports that she and other participants assisted in the wrapping of over 1,100 gifts to be distributed to 387 children.  Thanks to Catherine, her gift-wrapping colleagues Angie Seubert, Megan Stoltz, Heather Toronjo, Sean Wire, and all who contributed to the success of the toy drive!
