CLS Undergraduate Advisors Honored at "Advisor of the Year" Event

Congratulations to the Criminology, Law and Society Undergraduate Advising team, Elli Ambros, Stephanie Barnett, and Amanda Myers Purrier, all of whom were nominated by students for the Academic Advisor of the Year Award.  This award is given annually by the Center for Academic Advising, Retention, and Transitions (CAART) for excellence in undergraduate advising.  In addition, Elli Ambros and Stephanie Barnett were named as two of Mason's top ten advisors!  Each year, students, faculty, and staff across the university vote for the advisor who has had a positive impact on students through advising by:  1) demonstrating a caring and helpful attitude; 2) supporting student development; 3) providing accurate information; and 4) demonstrating knowledge of Mason regulations, policies, and procedures.

Ms. Ambros, Ms. Barnett, and Ms. Purrier were honored at a luncheon sponsored by CAART on March 22.  The CLS Department is proud of all three advisors' accomplishments and dedication to their students and to the CLS program, and pleased that students also recognize their outstanding work.
