CLS Students Receive Scholarship to ACJS Doctoral Student Summit

Shannon Magnuson and Denise Nazaire, doctoral students in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society, have each received a scholarship to attend the second annual Doctoral Student Summit at the 2016 Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences annual meeting.

Participants at the summit attend workshops designed to help them successfully complete their doctoral degree and prepare for academic careers. Workshop topics include surviving the dissertation, preparing for the job market, teaching, and grant writing.  Participants will also attend social events and have the opportunity to network with ACJS Executive Board members and other faculty and students from programs across the country.
