Criminology, Law and Society Open House for Prospective Graduate Students

Monday, October 3, 2016 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM EDT
Merten Hall, #1204

The Department of Criminology, Law and Society is hosting an open house for prospective graduate students to learn more about our MA and PhD programs.  Members of our award-winning faculty will be on hand to discuss the wide range of research projects, activities, and curricula in the department. Additionally, current graduate students will be available to talk about the MA and PhD programs from their perspective.

Our PhD program is designed to produce top academic scholars and leaders in policy and applied settings. The program provides a rigorous course of study that will prepare students to do research, teach, develop and test policies, and administer agencies and programs designed to administer law, deliver justice, reduce crime, and enhance domestic security.

Our MA program brings cutting edge social science methods to the disciplines of criminology and law and society and has two options: a policy and practice concentration for those interested in careers in justice and security organizations; or a research track (with a thesis) for those who plan to pursue a doctoral degree and academic or research career.

Please join us to learn more about the department, the application process, and life as a graduate student at Mason!
