The Hub, #2

The Criminology, Law and Society Student Association (CLSSA) is pleased to present a talk by Dr. Thomas Dover of the FBI.  Dr. Dover will share his experiences working in the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, providing support to the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime (NCAVC). Dr. Dover began his career with the FBI in 2006 in the Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP) Unit within the NCAVC. In 2009, Dr. Dover joined the Behavioral Science Unit to develop computational methods to automate case-linkage analysis, and also provided research, consultation, and training in support of the FBI’s National Academy. He returned to the NCAVC in 2014.

Prior to joining the FBI, Dr. Dover served as a tactical Crime and Investigative Analyst for the Henrico County Division of Police (in Richmond, Virginia) where he worked in the Intelligence, Violent Crimes, and Cold Case Units.

The CLSSA is particularly proud to sponsor Dr. Dover's talk because he earned his Ph.D. in Computational Social Science at the Center for Social Complexity at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.  Light refreshments will be provided, and all are welcome!  Please RSVP through the link above.
