This summer, the Institute for Immigration Research [IIR] at George Mason University is hosting a series of events focusing on immigration. The “IIR Spotlight on Immigration” aims to start a dialogue about U.S. immigration and immigrant’s contribution to the U.S. economy. Set on a monthly schedule starting in June and ending in August of 2013, the series will host a variety of events from movie showings to student-centered presentations on the issues at hand.
Join us on Wednesday June 26, 2013 as we feature “Golden Door” a 2006 drama film based on a family's migration from Italy to New York, U.S.A. at the beginning of the 20th century.
This event will be held at the Johnson Center Cinema at 2:00PM. All are welcome to attend!
