Elli Ambros from the Department of Criminology, Law and Society (CLS) was named the 2023 Undergraduate Academic Advisor of the Year in recognition of her outstanding care and commitment to supporting undergraduates’ academic achievement at Mason. CLS advisors Jada Crocker and Kristin Tyburczy were also recognized as two of the Top 10 undergraduate academic advisors at Mason.
Students from the 2022-2023 Honors Seminar in Criminology, Law and Society presented posters of their research projects at the 2023 CHSS Undergraduate Research Symposium. This year's honors seminar was led by Dr. Evan Lowder and focused on pretrial reform.
George Mason University President Gregory Washington has announced that Dr. Evan Lowder and Dr. Christopher Koper of the Department of Criminology, Law and Society are recipients of the 2023 Presidential Awards for Faculty Excellence for their work on behalf of the university, students, and the broader community.
