Criminology, Law and Society Adjunct Instructor Joel Weinstein recently won a case in the West Virginia Supreme Court. In the case, State of West Virginia vs. Longerbeam (#35472) a man that was unjustifiably looking at 10-20 years in prison will go free. The 3-2 decision was very tough politically for the WV Supreme Court. This landmark decision should be well-cited for years to come!
