This course will provide an overview of Virginia Criminal Law and examine the statutory construction of various common and not-so-common offenses.  Attention will also be paid to comparable statutes in neighboring states to highlight the differences in the elements required for conviction and their sentencing  We will not be addressing crimes committed by juveniles.
