This course provides the student with essential skills, techniques, and practice necessary to obtain quality information from the general public, victims, witnesses, suspects, and the media regarding national security matters and criminal activity. It emphasizes legal considerations, note taking and report writing skills, locations and settings for interviews, kinesics, proxemics, and paralinguistics of both the interviewer and interviewee. Emphasis is placed on national security matters.

This topic is approved to apply toward the following concentration(s):

  • Homeland Security and Justice (HSJ)

NOTE:

This topic is also approved to apply toward the Intelligence Analysis minor as an elective.
