Sang Jun Park is a doctoral student in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society. His dissertation examines crime concentrations across all 43 police jurisdictions in England and Wales, testing the salience of Weisburd’s Law of Crime Concentration (supervisor: Professor Cynthia Lum). Sang Jun’s expertise is in geographic information systems, geospatial analyses, social media, and web design. He developed GIS crime mapping applications (http://crimeteller.com) to help the public to understand crime patterns in their neighborhood for safety.
