Sean Emerson Wire

Sean Wire is a PhD student currently working as a graduate research assistant at the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy (CEBCP) housed within the Criminology, Law and Society department. His research interests include policing, crime and place, law enforcement technology, and experimental criminology.

               As a research assistant at the CEBCP, Sean works for Dr. Weisburd primarily on the NIDA Community Health and Safety Project in Baltimore. His Master’s Thesis comes from this project and looks at how perceptions of police are affected by different measures of exposure to police.

               Sean serves as the President of the Police Research Group, which is a student led organization focused on conducting and contributing research to the field of policing. Sean also serves as the Treasurer of the Criminology, Law and Society Student Association.
