Taryn Zastrow is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy. She received her BA in Psychology in 2016 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and her MA in Criminology, Law and Society in 2021 from George Mason University. Taryn previously worked as a research assistant at the National Policing Institute in Washington, DC. Her research interests include place-based criminology, crime analysis, community violence & health, policing, and crime & public policy.
