Alan D. Swanson has worked in international development for over sixteen years. He is interested in preventing human rights violations before they occur. Dr. Swanson has taken part in water projects in Honduras and Egypt and worked on Women in Development projects in Mexico, Honduras, and multiple other countries. Before teaching at GMU, he taught graduate seminars at the University of Essex, Law School in Colchester, England.
