Congratulations to CLS Graduate Coordinator, Ms. Mary Schifferli, who has received the Exceptional Support Award from George Mason University. Mary has provided exemplary service to the Department of Criminology, Law and Society overall, and to the graduate program and graduate students more specifically.
As the Graduate Coordinator, Ms. Schifferli assists students and faculty in the CLS Department with all administrative matters related to the graduate programs, both MA and PhD. She provides guidance on the application of university and department policies, is involved in admissions and recruitment activities for the graduate program, assists in the maintenance of the department's website, helps plan department-sponsored events, and contributes to special departmental projects.
Ms. Schifferli has a legal background, having practiced law in her previous career. She has a J.D. from Georgetown University.
Ms. Schifferli will be presented with the award at the university-wide awards ceremony scheduled for November 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Dewberry Hall.
