Doctoral Student Receives Association of Threat Assessment Professionals Scholarship

Congratulations to graduate student Emily Smedley, who has been awarded the Dr. Chris Hatcher Memorial Scholarship by the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP).  ATAP awards the Hatcher Scholarship each year to students with an interest in threat assessment to support and spur their interest, and includes travel funding to allow awardees to attend the three-day ATAP Conference in August.  The award was established to honor Dr. Hatcher, whose work in threat assessment and work place violence recognizes the importance of social science and criminal justice research and its application to a developing field.

Ms. Smedley plans to travel to the ATAP Conference in California to receive her award.
