CLS student Sydney Reuter received second place for her submission to the American Psychology-Law Society's Award for Best Undergraduate Paper. Her paper, written for her honors seminar class with assistant professor Dr. Evan Lowder, was titled "Improving Judicial Confidence in Pretrial Release Decisions: Pretrial Risk Assessments and Structured Guidelines."
By placing in the competition, her work is automatically accepted as a poster presentation to the upcoming annual APLS conference in March 2024.
Reuter will continue her education in the MS in Criminal Justice program at Mason this fall.
