CCCP at GMU Publishes "A Decade in Crime" Brief

A Decade in Crime: 1-page brief

CCCP at GMU has released a one-page brief that dives into national crime trends from 2001 to 2010. CCCP at GMU found that, consistent with most reports, crime reported to the police over the past ten years has declined, with the greatest reductions observed for property crimes and larceny theft. Violent crime rates have dropped as well. However, it's important to note that using strictly national figures can mask important trends within subgroups, types of crime, and geographic borders.
