CLS Doctoral Student Awarded 2016 Presidential Scholar Summer Fellowship

Kimberly Meyer, a Criminology, Law and Society doctoral student, has been awarded a Presidential Scholar Summer Fellowship for the second year in a row.  Kimberly began her dissertation research in summer 2015, during the second year of her doctoral studies, supported by her first Presidential Scholar Summer Fellowship.  During that summer, she was able to make significant progress on an extension of the Juvenile Justice Project, a collaborative effort involving the CLS-affiliated Center for Advancing Correctional Excellence and a local juvenile justice agency.  She plans to continue her research for the project this summer, investigating what probation officers can do to prevent further delinquent activity in juvenile clients.  This research will be used for her dissertation.  Congratulations to Kimberly for receiving this award once again!
