CLS Advisors Set the Bar High, Named among the Top Ten Advisors at Mason!
The CLS Advising Team poses with their certificates

Congratulations to Stephanie Barnett, Amanda Myers, and Elli Ambros, for being voted among the top ten undergraduate academic advisors in the annual Academic Advisor of the Year poll.  Each year, students, faculty and staff across the university vote for the advisor who has had a positive impact on students through academic advising by: 1) demonstrating a caring and helpful attitude, 2) supporting student development, 3) providing accurate information, and 4) demonstrating knowledge of George Mason University regulations, policies, and procedure.

Among the 115 advisors who were nominated for the 2016 Advisor of the Year Award, given by the Center for Academic Advising, Retention, and Transitions (CAART), the entire CLS advising team (Stephanie Barnett, Amanda Myers and Elli Ambros) all made the Top Ten! Each advisor was presented with a Certificate of Excellence and received a printout of the comments submitted with their individual nominations. The CLS Department is proud of all three of our undergraduate advisors’ accomplishments, and we are pleased that the students also recognize their outstanding work.
