Participatory Action Research Panel

Friday, April 30, 2021 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM EDT
Online Location

George Mason University's Criminology, Law and Society Student Association (CLSSA) is excited to announce an upcoming panel session and interactive Q&A with experts in participatory action research (PAR).  PAR combines scholarly inquiry with direct action to understand and solve social problems.  It often does so through the collaborative efforts of advocates, researchers, and community members, forefronting essential perspectives from those most affected by the problems under study.

This event will feature a diverse panel of academics, PAR experts, and community-based co-researchers.  We invite members of the Mason Community to attend the panel to build their understanding of PAR and develop new strategies to implement it in their own work, or simply to learn more about this increasingly popular methodology.  This is an excellent opportunity for students, practitioners, researchers, advocates, and interested community members. All are welcome. Please see the promotional flyer for more details and to RSVP.

Sponsored by Criminology, Law and Society Student Association.
