Outstanding Graduate Service Award Criminology, Law and Society
This award is given each year to graduate students in the CLS graduate programs (MS, MA, PhD) who exemplify outstanding service to the department, college, university, and/or community.
2024 Awardees
Dyja Harrington
Dyja Harrington is a master’s student and a research assistant with Dr. Redlich in the MODLIS Lab. She is currently pursuing her M.S. in Criminal Justice from George Mason University, a journey she began after earning her B.S. in Criminology, Law, and Society with a concentration in Criminal Justice and a minor in Forensic Psychology in 2023. Her academic journey and research experience have equipped her with a deep understanding of the field, which she is eager to share with others.
Her current research focuses on areas such as juvenile rehabilitation, juvenile delinquency, school violence, mental illness and crime, prison development, and reducing recidivism rates. These are just a few of the many areas of criminal justice that she finds fascinating, and she is always open to exploring new topics and expanding her research interests.
