Why did you choose George Mason University and your major or area of study?

Primarily, I chose George Mason because of its reputation as being one of the best schools in Virginia for an aspiring criminal justice major and its proximity to Washington, D.C, which has proven to be effective in networking and job opportunities that simply do not exist elsewhere.

Are there faculty or staff members who have made a difference thus far during your George Mason career?

All of my professors so far at George Mason have been highly impactful in my education and career readiness; however, the biggest impact I have had from a staff member has been from my advisor, Ellie Ambros. Due to her dedication and care for the students she advises, I have been able to navigate the complex world of college effortlessly and am on track to graduate in a way that aligns with all of my goals.

How do you hope to use your degree and studies in the future?

I hope to go for my master's degree in criminal justice and use that in my career in the future, which is hopefully as an intelligence analyst for the government.

How will the Dean’s Challenge scholarship support your studies?

It will allow me to focus more time and energy on my studies without having to worry about the excess financial burdens of attending college.
