How did you choose your degree program?

I first heard about the programs here from my sister-in-law, Elena Thompson, who graduated from GMU a few years ago. I started exploring the various programs and decided GMU would be a perfect fit.

How did your academic experiences in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences impact you?

My academic experience in CHSS has been great. I have gained the knowledge that I was seeking when I first came and have made some good contacts. It has also helped me to hone my approach to changing my career to a new field.

What accomplishment(s) during your time at Mason are you most proud of?

I am most proud that I was able to juggle a full-time job and still make the most out of my classes. I feel that I did some good work and am proud of the credits that I have earned.

Are there faculty or staff members who made a difference during your Mason career? Please give an example of this impact if possible.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of my classes at GMU, especially with Professors Cantone, Denholm, Bellows, Murphy, Dobson, Tadie, and Newmark. They all care about teaching their students well.

What are your current career plans following graduation? What are your long-term career goals?

My plan is to use my new degree to help me make a much-desired career change.
