What was the most impactful class you took in your major? what made it so? The professor? The assignments? What you read or learned?
The most impactful class I took was Applied Criminal Psychology. The information I learned in this class has greatly benefited my career and understanding of individuals who commit crimes. Furthermore, Professor Udell is extremely knowledgeable in this field, and her lessons have stuck with me throughout my academic career.
What activities were you involved in during your time at Mason that impacted you? A club? Research? Internship? Study abroad? Can you describe that experience a bit?
The most impactful activity I was involved in at Mason was Young Life. This organization gave me lifelong friendships and new experiences. Most of my time at Mason was spent attending these events, helping out with the organization, and traveling with my friends. As an out-of-state student, this organization gave me a family when I was miles away from home.
What is your most memorable moment at Mason inside or outside of the classroom? Can you describe it?
My most memorable moment at college was attending the Neon Trees concert at Mason Day. It was my last Mason Day, and I was with my friends, whom I have known since freshman year. I vividly remember the moment when the band stopped playing, and the crowd continued singing the song “Everybody Talks.” It was my favorite moment of my college experience.
As your reflecting on your time at Mason, what is one piece of advice you would give a student who is just starting off on their Mason journey?
My advice to students starting their Mason journey is to try something new and step outside of your comfort zone. Your college experience is what you make of it, and there are so many opportunities at Mason.
What is your next step after graduation? What are your future plans?
