Catherine Moses Dobson is an Associate Professor and Internship Director in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Georgia and is also a proud graduate of Rice University. Her first career was as a United States Foreign Service Officer. She served in United States Embassy in Beijing, China and the U.S Embassy in Bogota, Colombia. She also served in the U.S. Interests Section in Havana, Cuba. She is the author of the book Real Life in Castro’s Cuba. She has lived in six countries and has a passion for international politics. At George Mason University, she takes great joy in helping students to find their paths forward toward professional careers.
