Chloe L. McPhillips is a doctoral student at George Mason University in the Department of Criminology, Law, and Society, and serves as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy. Her research interests are focused on policing, including topics surrounding departmental issues, such as recruitment and retention and community trust, and the use of evidence-based policing to address crime and disorder. Chloe received both her BS and MS degrees from the University of Cincinnati in 2019 and 2021 respectively. She then joined a nonprofit organization where she worked to advance the use of research and evidence-based practices in policing and policy development before joining the doctoral program at George Mason in 2025.
