Daniel Brazier is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Criminology, Law, and Society, and is currently a Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations, Polygraph Unit. He has more than 30 years of combined law enforcement experience as a local police officer and federal agent.
Special Agent Brazier joined Homeland Security Investigations in 2009, in New York, NY, where he has conducted a wide variety of criminal investigations, including investigations involving narcotics, human trafficking, child exploitation, internal affairs, commercial fraud, gangs, and looted cultural property and art. Special Agent Brazier has served as a subject matter expert and Program Manager in the area of looted art and antiquity investigations.
Special Agent Brazier began his law enforcement career in 1995 as a local police officer in Virginia, where he served a total of 14 years as a Patrol Officer, SWAT Team member, School Resource Officer, Street Crimes, and Detective for Crimes Against Children.
