Adjunct Faculty

David Huchler is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society. He served with the City of Alexandria Police Department for 26 years before being appointed to chief of police for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority in April 2018. The Airports Authority Police Department has responsibility for Reagan National and Dulles International Airports.

Mr. Huchler has a wide breadth of experience having held positions in patrol, criminal investigations, administration and the Office of Intelligence. He has also served as a Special Operations Team member and commander. Mr. Huchler is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and PERF's Senior Management Institute for Police.
