David Huchler

Adjunct Faculty

Mr. David Huchler is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society. He is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Police for the Town of Vienna Police Department following service as Chief of Police for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department from 2018 to 2025. Prior to that he served with the City of Alexandria Police Department for 26 years.

Mr. Huchler has a wide breadth of experience having held positions in patrol, criminal investigations, administration and the Office of Intelligence. He has also served as a Special Operations Team member and commander. Mr. Huchler is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and PERF's Senior Management Institute for Police.
