Criminal investigation, prosecution and justice for defendants and victims

Mr. Leiser is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society, and has taught at Mason for the last 24 years. He is a member of the Provost's Adjunct Faculty Committee. For the past 42 years, Mr. Leiser served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia prosecuting federal criminals at all levels. Prior to that, he served as an Assistant County Prosecutor in New Jersey and as a Trial Attorney for the Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Section at the U.S. Department of Justice. Mr. Leiser is a founder and past President of the National Association of Assistant United States Attorneys. He was a member of the Virginia Bar Association and the Fairfax County Bar Association.
