Cybercrime
Selimul is a doctoral student in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University. Concurrently, he serves as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Lecturer. In addition, he is a Research Assistant at the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy (CEBCP). Prior to attending Mason, he completed his Master of Science (M.S.) in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University. While at Illinois State, he received various scholarships and awards including Ada Belle Clark Welsh Scholarship 2023, Ora Bretall Scholarship 2024 and University Club Scholarship 2024. He served as the President of the Criminal Justice Graduate Student Association, a registered student organization at Illinois State University. His research interests include interpersonal cybercrime, organized cybercrime, financial cybercrime, online illicit markets, Dark Web cybercriminal activity, and cyberpolicing.
