William “Bobby” Taylor is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Criminology, Law, and Society.  Bobby currently works for the Alexandria City Police Department.  He is currently assigned to the Criminal Investigations Section, as a Sergeant overseeing various investigative units.  

Bobby started with Alexandria in 2006 and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2014.  He has been in law enforcement for over 15 years, including administrative, operational, tactical, and investigative experience.  He has served in various assignments such as; Patrol, Community Policing, Tactical Training, Quartermaster, and Investigations, and with several specialized ancillary units such as; Field Training, and the Special Operations Team (SWAT).  He also serves as an advisor/ participant with the body-worn camera committee.
