How did you choose your degree program?

I always knew that I had a deep interest in forensic psychology and found George Mason's Criminology program to be the best for exploring such an interest in depth. The ability to have forensic psychology as my minor was my greatest draw to Mason, but I was excited for the extremely experienced Criminology professors to help me learn the field as a whole.

How did your academic experiences in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences impact you?

The Criminology professors I had at Mason were some of the most experienced in different facets of the field that I could have possibly come in contact with. While they helped me lear what areas of Criminology I wanted to explore more in depth, they also had real and raw experiences in their line of work that helped me eliminate what wouldn't be a good fit for me and my future.

What accomplishment(s) during your time at Mason are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my Senior Capstone project in CRIM 495. My group had the best scoring project in our class and I truly felt like I learned a lot and improved throughout the rigorous course.

Are there faculty or staff members who made a difference during your Mason career? Please give an example of this impact if possible.

Dr. Teresa Gudaitis was by far my favorite professor at Mason. The level of care for her students, extreme knowledge, and high (but reasonable) standards made me love being in class with her. I took a class with her almost every semester of college and every single time I had her I felt that she applied her abilities into the class and I walked away with so much new knowledge. Even remotely, she was amazing.

What are your current career plans following graduation? What are your long-term career goals?

My current career plans hinge on hearing back from a lot of applications I currently have out. I am currently looking for positions primarily in Criminology research. However, long-term I plan to go back to school to further my knowledge in the field of Forensic Psychology in order to help victims.
