Privacy of Student Records

Under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), student records are private.  You may consult with CLS program directors and coordinators if you have questions about students’ performance, but you may not disclose students’ grades, marked assignments, or other personal records to those outside George Mason without the students’ permission. This includes their parents. If you have questions about these parameters, please contact the appropriate program director or coordinator for your course level.
