Advising in CLS

Grad silhouette
2015 Commencement on the Fairfax Campus.

Want to graduate on time?  Your academic advisor is the person on campus who can help you to stay on track for graduation.  You should plan on meeting with your advisor at least once a semester to receive advice on academic planning and how to make the most out of your time at Mason.

Your CLS Advisor can:

  • Help you understand degree requirements
  • Discuss and help you declare a concentration and/or minor
  • Help you run a Degree Evaluation and map out the road to graduation
  • Offer information on opportunities to enhance your degree including, but not limited to, internships, study abroad, honors in the major, and beyond
  • Discuss research opportunities, and graduate and professional school
